"Keep Your Well Baby Well"
On November 29,2024, 3rd generation descendants of Daniel Lesesne Smith, Sr., "Papa" (paa-puh) gathered at the Parish Hall of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Saluda, NC to tell stories about Papa, the summer pediatric seminar series, and of childhood memories on Smith Hill.
These cousins included Lesesne Dickson, Marvin Owings, Clara Carter, Ravenel Smith, Nettie Owings, Ammie Weymer and VeeVee Blackshear.
Robert Sutcliffe recorded these conversations and produced 4 videos to include this session along with 4 smaller featurettes recorded later that day, during the annual family oyster roast on Smith Hill, with additional cousins of the 3rd, 4th and 5th generations.
